The content on this website, including articles, guides, videos, newsletters, and any downloadable material, is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute the practice of medicine and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Use of this website does not create a physician-patient relationship between any reader and Dr. Alex Tatem or Tatem Media & Medicine, LLC. Nothing on this website is a recommendation or endorsement of any specific test, procedure, product, treatment, or healthcare provider for any individual. No content here represents that any particular compound, device, procedure, or course of treatment is safe, appropriate, or effective for any reader.
Readers should seek the advice of their own physician or qualified healthcare provider with any question regarding a medical condition, any medication, and before making any change to their diet, training, supplementation, or treatment. Readers should not disregard or delay obtaining medical advice because of anything published here. Reliance on any information provided on this website is solely at the reader's own risk.
No representation or warranty is made as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any content, and content may be amended or withdrawn at any time without notice. This website is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your healthcare provider or call 911 immediately.
Content on this website discusses drugs, compounds, and uses that are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. This includes substances that may not lawfully be compounded, dispensed, or sold for human use in the United States.
Discussion of any such substance is educational and descriptive. It is not an endorsement, a recommendation for use, a claim that any substance is safe or effective for any reader, or encouragement to obtain any substance from any source. This expressly includes online vendors marketing products as research chemicals or as not intended for human consumption. Products sold through those channels are not subject to pharmaceutical manufacturing standards, sterility testing, or identity and purity verification.
Content discussing regulatory status reflects Dr. Tatem's understanding as of the date of publication. Regulatory status changes, and readers should not rely on any statement here as a current description of what is legally available.
Guests appearing in Dr. Tatem's videos, interviews, and podcast appearances may hold financial interests, equity positions, or advisory roles in companies or products discussed during their appearances. Those interests are the guest's own to disclose. A guest's appearance does not constitute an endorsement by Dr. Tatem of any company, product, protocol, or claim the guest mentions, and views expressed by guests are their own.
Dr. Tatem's content regularly examines and critiques third-party products, protocols, published research, and material produced by other creators. Discussion of a company or product is not an endorsement of it. No company named in Dr. Tatem's independent content has paid for that mention unless the content is identified as sponsored.
Dr. Tatem discloses all financial relationships that could reasonably be seen to influence his public content. He considers this an obligation of any physician who speaks publicly about medicine to a large audience.
The relationships below are ongoing. One-time engagements, including conference speaking, are addressed under Additional Disclosures. This list is reviewed quarterly and updated whenever a relationship begins or ends.
Marius Pharmaceuticals — equity holder. (2024 – Present)
Marius Pharmaceuticals manufactures Kyzatrex, an FDA-approved oral testosterone undecanoate. Dr. Tatem holds a passive equity interest. He has no advisory, consulting, employment, board, or promotional role with the company, receives no compensation from it, and has no involvement in its operations.
This is the most significant conflict of interest disclosed on this page, and it warrants specific explanation. Dr. Tatem treats hypogonadism clinically, discusses testosterone therapy publicly, and has advocated for reform of testosterone regulation, including removal of testosterone from Schedule III of the Controlled Substances Act. Regulatory changes of that kind would plausibly benefit manufacturers of testosterone products, including Marius. Readers should weigh his commentary on testosterone therapy, and on testosterone policy in particular, with that interest in mind.
Dr. Tatem holds no equity in any other company in men's health, hormone therapy, peptides, supplements, diagnostics, telehealth, or medical devices.
Companies that pay Dr. Tatem to produce sponsored content, or that distribute his content as paid advertising.
Rugiet (MSB Holdings, Inc.) — sponsored content and influencer partnership. Compensated. (June 2026 – Present)
Rugiet is a telehealth platform in men's health. Dr. Tatem produces sponsored video and social content for Rugiet, and Rugiet distributes that content as paid advertising, including through Dr. Tatem's own social accounts. All such content is identified as advertising within the content itself.
Rugiet (MSB Holdings, Inc.) — Medical Advisory Board member and brand ambassador. Compensated. (June 2026 – Present)
Advises on clinical protocols, reviews patient-facing medical content for accuracy, and consults on product direction, including peptide offerings. This is a separate agreement from the content partnership above and is compensated separately.
Boston Scientific — consultant, prosthetic urology. Compensated. (2019 – Present)
Coloplast — consultant, prosthetic urology. Compensated. (2019 – Present)
Both companies manufacture penile prosthetic and male continence devices that Dr. Tatem implants surgically. This work consists of surgical education, technique instruction, and product feedback, and predates his public content work by several years. Both companies also sponsor the surgical training program described below. Payments from both are reported publicly under the Physician Payments Sunshine Act and are searchable at openpaymentsdata.cms.gov.
American Academy of Peptide Medicine — Medical Advisory Board member. Uncompensated. (2026 – Present)
Tatem Media & Medicine, LLC. Dr. Tatem's media company, and the contracting entity for every relationship on this page. It produces his website, newsletter, and video content.
YouTube channel. Earns platform advertising revenue based on viewership. This revenue is paid by the platform and is not tied to any product, company, claim, or recommendation.
Lab Rat Legion. Apparel brand owned by Dr. Tatem.
Surgical training program. Dr. Tatem trains practicing urologists in prosthetic surgical technique. The program is sponsored by the device manufacturers named above.
Speaking honoraria. Dr. Tatem accepts honoraria to speak at medical conferences, industry meetings, and corporate events, including events hosted by companies in the pharmaceutical, compounding, and medical device industries. These are one-time engagements rather than ongoing relationships and are not listed individually. Speaking fees are contracted through Tatem Media & Medicine, LLC. No speaking engagement is conditioned on the content of Dr. Tatem's public commentary, and no host organization reviews or approves his independent content.
Compounding pharmacies, peptide manufacturers, and API suppliers. Dr. Tatem has no financial relationship with any compounding pharmacy, peptide manufacturer, or active pharmaceutical ingredient supplier. This includes Empower Pharmacy. He holds no equity, consulting agreement, retainer, or referral arrangement with any such company.
Regulatory and legislative advocacy. No company or organization funded, sponsored, commissioned, requested, reviewed, or approved any part of Dr. Tatem's July 2026 testimony before the FDA Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee, his public comments to the FDA docket, or his legislative advocacy on testosterone and peptide access. That work was undertaken independently and at his own expense. His equity interest in Marius Pharmaceuticals, disclosed above, is the one financial interest he holds that could be affected by the testosterone policy reforms he has advocated for, and it is disclosed for that reason.
Affiliate revenue. Dr. Tatem does not currently earn affiliate or commission revenue. No link in his videos, newsletter, or website generates a commission on any sale. He has not ruled out affiliate arrangements in the future. If any are adopted, they will be disclosed on this page and identified within the content in which they appear.
The following terms are written into Dr. Tatem's commercial agreements rather than adopted as informal policy.
Dr. Tatem's website, newsletter, and video content are produced by Tatem Media & Medicine, LLC and operate independently of his clinical roles at Urology of Indiana and U.S. Urology Partners. This content does not reflect the views or official policies of either organization, or of any hospital, health system, or professional society with which Dr. Tatem is affiliated. This website is not a channel for clinical care. Inquiries about becoming a patient should be directed to his clinical practice.
