Tatem Media & Medicine, LLC (“Tatem Media,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates dralextatem.com and related digital properties (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. This Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Use.
1. Important: This Site Is Not Covered by HIPAA
Dr. Alex Tatem is a licensed physician. This Site is not part of his medical practice. It is operated by Tatem Media & Medicine, LLC, an independent media company, and information you provide through this Site is not protected health information under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”).
If you are a patient of Dr. Tatem's clinical practice, your medical records and patient information are held by that practice, governed by that practice's Notice of Privacy Practices, and are entirely separate from this Site. We do not have access to patient records through this Site, and information you submit here does not become part of any medical record.
Please do not send us medical information. Do not describe your symptoms, diagnoses, medications, test results, or treatment history through any form, email, comment, or message on this Site. We cannot provide individualized medical advice, and information you send us does not receive the protections that apply in a clinical setting.
Information you give us.
We do not collect payment card numbers. We do not currently process payments directly on the Site — merchandise purchases are not yet enabled. If and when we do, purchases will be processed by a third-party payment processor that handles card data directly, and this Policy will be updated to name that processor.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site we and our service providers may collect:
Email engagement information. Our email messages contain tracking technology that tells us whether a message was opened, which links were clicked, and general information about the device used. If you prefer not to be tracked this way, you can disable image loading in your email client or unsubscribe.
Information from third parties. We may receive information from analytics providers, our email service provider, and social media platforms where you interact with our content. Platform-provided analytics are typically aggregated and do not identify you individually.
We do not ask for information about your health, and we ask that you not send it.
You should understand, however, that the subject matter of this Site concerns men's health, hormone therapy, sexual health, and related clinical topics. Your decision to subscribe to our newsletter, download a specific guide, or visit particular pages could allow inferences to be drawn about your health interests or status. Under some state laws, information supporting such inferences is treated as consumer health data.
How we handle this:
We do not use your information to train artificial intelligence models, and we do not provide your information to third parties for that purpose.
We use cookies and similar technologies for:
We do not currently run advertising or remarketing pixels (such as a Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or Google Ads tag) on the Site. If that changes, this section will be updated to name the specific tools in use.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Site from working.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Some browsers transmit a “Do Not Track” signal or a Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signal. There is no common industry standard for responding to Do Not Track, and the Site does not respond to Do Not Track or GPC signals at this time. You can still exercise the opt-out and other rights described in Section 10 directly, by contacting us as described in Section 11.
We share personal information only as described here.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
We do not share your information with sponsors or brand partners. When we publish sponsored content, the sponsor does not receive our subscriber list or your personal information. Our financial relationships are disclosed at Disclaimers & Disclosures.
Our content appears on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and LinkedIn. When you view or interact with our content on those platforms, that platform's privacy policy governs, not ours. We do not control what those platforms collect. Similarly, links from this Site to third-party websites are governed by those sites' policies.
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we experience a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the Indiana Attorney General as required by Indiana's data breach notification law and any other applicable law.

We extend these rights to Indiana residents whether or not the Act applies to us by its thresholds.

We rely on your consent for marketing email and on our legitimate interests for Site operation, security, and analytics. We will respond within one month, extendable where permitted. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
The Site is hosted in the United States. If you access it from outside the United States, you are transferring information to the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Email us at admin@dralextatem.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line, or write to the address in Section 12. Tell us what right you want to exercise and the state or country where you reside.
We will verify your identity before acting, typically by confirming control of the email address associated with your information. We do not create accounts or collect identity documents for this purpose. We will respond within 45 days and may extend once by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary, in which case we will notify you within the first 45 days.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
The Site is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 as defined by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at the address below.
We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date will change, and material changes will be communicated by a notice on the Site or by email to subscribers. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
